Biography

Sille Sepp is the Head of Urban Data Ecosystems at the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities, based in Tallinn, Estonia. Since 2024, she has been leading initiatives that foster innovative urban data solutions, driving the development of smarter, more sustainable cities in the region.

Before joining the FinEst Centre, Sille held various leadership roles at MyData Global over a six-year tenure. As Director of Operations, she managed the organisation’s strategic and operational frameworks, ensuring impactful engagement across its global community. Prior to this, she served as Deputy General Manager and Programmes Lead, where she developed governance structures, facilitated thematic groups, and spearheaded content creation for the MyData Academy and training programmes.

Sille’s expertise extends to community engagement and conference production. As Programme Co-Lead for the MyData 2019 Conference, she played a critical role in organising one of the leading international events on human-centred personal data management, which aligned with Finland’s EU Presidency. She also produced the MyData 2018 Conference, showcasing her skills in event strategy and execution.

In addition to her work with MyData, Sille contributed to Open Knowledge Estonia as Project Manager of Andmekool (School of Data), where she supported data literacy and transparency initiatives.
