
Project Director – OASC
Margarida Campolargo holds an MSc in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and completed two postgraduate programmes at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and at ELISAVA – Barcelona School of Design and Engineering. Her master’s thesis and research focused on Social and Urban Sustainability, resulting in several publications on the subject. She has worked with various non-profit organizations and served on the boards of youth associations, contributing to public policy development for young people.
Since 2011, she has been active in urban planning and project management, participating in several Smart City initiatives such as the Campus Diagonal-Besòs, the MyNeighbourhood Project, and the Human Smart Cities Network. She has served as a consultant for the Municipality of Porto on international projects and as Head of the Smart Cities Unit at Porto Digital (from January 2016 to June 2018). Margarida was the national representative of Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) in Portugal between 2016 and 2019, and an external consultant on Innovation and Governance for World Bank projects (2018/2019).
She is currently the Project Director at Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC), Vice-President for International Relations of the Brazilian Network of Smart and Human Cities, a lecturer at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI) and guest professor at Coimbra Business School. She is also the CEO of Pointify, a company working in the fields of Smart Tourism and Smart Cities.
