Head of ITK – City of Aarhus

As Head of ITK in the City of Aarhus, Bo oversees the municipality’s innovation, digital development and smart city efforts across IT operations, GovTech experimentation and AI- and data-driven solutions. He leads initiatives through the Aarhus City Lab and multiple ITK units, advancing open source, inter-municipal collaboration, IoT, automation and citizen-focused digital services. A key national figure, he chairs OS2, co-founded Open Data DK and TING, and contributes to several digital governance councils. His work centers on strengthening public-sector digital autonomy, enabling large-scale data use for AI and positioning Aarhus as a leading hub for future smart city technologies.
