Call for Host City 2026

Apply to host the OASC Annual Conference 2026

You can now bring the OASC community to your city and showcase your digital transformation initiatives to a wide audience. The application process is simple, no need for templates; just submit your own documents, a maximum of three A4 pages, by sending them to contact@oascities.org.

The jury will shortlist candidates based on a few key points listed below. Shortlisted cities or communities will be invited to give a brief presentation during the upcoming conference in Tampere.

Selection criteria

1. Accessibility & infrastructure

Accessibility: how well-connected is the city for international visitors e.g. public transport, airport, railway station…?

Conference facilities: does the city offer modern, equipped venues suitable for a two-day conference e.g. stable wifi, 1 plenary room, 7 breakout rooms, 120 pax, one-way (or two way) streaming.

Hotels: is there convenient accommodation available for conference attendees, either close to the conference venue or with easy access via public transport transportation.

2. Digital transformation

What milestones has the city achieved in its digital transformation journey? What are successful projects, initiatives? What are the challenges? What are your future plans? What do you want to learn from the OASC Community?

The procedure is also open to cities and municipalities that are not necessarily frontrunners in the digital field.

3. Experience in conference hosting

Does the city have a proven track record or can it commit (people, budget) in hosting similar events? List 2 examples.

4. Resources

Does the city have sufficient resources (budget & people) to support the conference? There are weekly meetings with the OASC conference team and the host city. The estimated budget is € 12 500 from the host city (OASC foresees an additional € 12 500), for the two day conference (venue + catering) and one evening dinner, VAT included.
